Professional Learning Communities provide opportunities for our faculty and staff to work collaboratively to ensure that our students are receiving the absolute best education we can possibly provide. Through work done in PLCs, teachers have the opportunity to review the curriculum and discuss instruction and assessment in order to increase student achievement. In addition, PLCs are used to analyze data and to review individual student progress to determine what specific needs remain.
Teachers at Old Mill meet weekly in grade level PLCs, with members of the leadership team, including Mr. McIntosh, Principal and Mr. Richard Cox, Instructional Coach. The purpose of this meeting is to review data from recent common assessments and to discuss any issues.
