Bullitt County Area Technology Center Students Recognized at Awards Ceremony

Amazing!

Jordan Thomas only needed a single word to describe receiving a $1,000 scholarship from Tom Chamberlain’s Lights Out Bar and Grill.

The senior at the Bullitt County Area Technology Center also earned his Welding AWS industry certification as he prepares for graduation.

Jordan was one of many students recognized during an awards ceremony at the Bullitt Central High School auditorium.

ATC Principal Angela Binkley asked each instructor to honor their respective Students of the Year with an engraved plaque. They are:

Madyson Foreman (Allied Health); Austin Hardesty (Automotive); Nathan Esarey (Aviation); Nathan Kosman (Carpentry); Luke Painter (Electrical); Connor Haney (Industrial Maintenance); Dustin Smith (Masonry); Draydan O’Bryant (Welding); and Addi Carman (ATC Student of the Year)

These students will also have their names added to a plaque representing past honorees.

Students who earned their Industry Certification include:

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) – Scott Barnes, Jordan Bishop, Dillon Broffman, Kevin Cogburn, Josh Cundiff, Jamie Estes, Austin Graham, Austin Hardesty, Jeremy Ison, Eric Jones, Louie Maupin, Trenton Neville, Dalton Phillips, Jeremy Sparks, Carly Thornsberry, Dylan Walker and Stephen Whitaker.

Carpentry - National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) – Earl Brooks, Elijah Gilbert, Tyler Ghaner, Bradlee Simmons and Michael Tetlow.

Masonry – Andrew Ashcraft, Zachary Connell, Nickolas Cottrell, Christian Herrlein, Christian Poteet, Matthew Robinson and Dustin Smith.
