UPS Hiring for Christmas Break!
Any High School student who previously worked for UPS and wants to be rehired should contact Michael Santoro at 502/359-1822 for instructions on what they need to do.
Other high school applicants but must be at least 17 by their start date to participate. Students who are available to work 1 day per week on Sundays before Christmas break can come in now to interview. The (paid) orientation for these students takes place November 14th. Any student who can only work for two weeks at Christmas will need to schedule their interview after 9/25.
UPS is also having a hiring blitz on OCTOBER 8TH from 9AM-3PM. On-site applications and interviews will be conducted at the Employment Center at 8203 National Turnpike in Louisville.

High School Fishing Team Challenge
AIRING ON ‘THE OUTDOOR CHANNEL’ AND “WFN”
How would you like to win a chance to be a star on Fishing University and fish for a
$10,000 cash college scholarship to the school of your choice and an additional
4 year $28,000 scholarship to Bethel University while everyone in America and around the world watches?
For your chance all you need to do is ‘share’ your fishing adventures on social media! Yep, that’s it---- you and your teammate has to have the most posts to social media between Sep. 1st and Nov. 25th, 2016. The two teams of two with the most posts will film the final show of Fishing University with co-hosts, Charlie Ingram and Ray Brazier. The team with the highest weight on that episode, will walk away with a $10,000 college scholarship to the school of your choice and the $28,000 scholarship to Bethel University! The University of Louisville scholarship application is now available!
We encourage students to begin working on their applications as soon as possible. The scholarship application is also the application for the Honors Program and all Guaranteed Entrance Programs. The deadline for all programs is December 15, 2016.

Prudential Spirit of Community Award
Want to cash in on all that community service? This is the scholarship for you! Apply at http://spirit.prudential.com or obtain a copy of the application information from the Guidance Office. Deadline to apply is Nov. 8.
KSBA First degree College Scholarship Program
Looking for nominees from an immediate family (parents, guardians, siblings) who has not earned a college degree. Pick up application from Guidance Office. Deadline is Nov. 15.

JCTC is offering a walk-in date for the COMPASS assessment on Monday, November 7th from 9:00am-6:00 pm
Compass is only available until November 20, 2016. We encourage all students who are not college ready to take advantage of the opportunity to take it. The cost is $7.
*Any student who takes the COMPASS assessment at JCTC must bring their scores to their counselor. JCTC does NOT send these scores to North Bullitt so students must bring them to us.*
Don’t forget to bring in your baby pictures, group pictures from elementary, middle and high school and sports or club photos to Ms. Becher. You can send them to her email at email@example.com or bring in a hard copy. If you bring a hard copy, please make sure you put your first and last name on the back of the photos.
If you did not turn in your cap/gown order to the Balfour rep, you will need to go online at www.balfour.com to place an order as soon as possible.
