December 6, 2016

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Bernheim Middle School is dedicated to the success of each student. At the start of the second semester, we are beginning a new schedule to best meet the needs of all students. We have designed our English Language Arts (ELA) classes to encompass both reading and writing together; we have included classes designed to support reading and math strategies for students needing more intense instruction. We have also added the opportunity for students who are above grade level in reading to take additional elective courses including the possibility of earning high school credit for some courses (Health, Physical Education and Digital Literacy).

When students return to school January 4th we will give them their new schedules and help them settle right back into the swing of things. Our goal is for all students to leave middle school on grade level and be pushed in their academic endeavors. We truly want what is best for your student and are working very hard to have all students reach the goal of being College and Career Ready by the time they graduate BCPS.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Most Sincerely,
Mrs. Katie Stephens
