Interviews will take place at the Bullitt County Public Schools’ Central Office located at 1040 Highway 44 East, Shepherdsville, KY.
Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 5:00 PM
Mr. Matthew Baker will visit the central office starting at 3:30 PM and will be available for the media from 4:00 – 4:30 PM.

The Bullitt County Board of Education is moving forward in its quest to appoint a new superintendent for Bullitt County Public Schools. The screening committee presented a short list of finalists to the board. The finalists include:

According to Phil Eason, a consultant with the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) who is assisting the Bullitt County Board in this process, the screening committee was very effective in fulfilling its responsibility to the board.

The successful candidate will need to be student centered, have extensive classroom experience, an understanding of best business and finance practices that make decisions that are data driven while appropriately delegating responsibilities.

Kentucky’s seventh largest school district has approximately 13,200 students in 13 elementary, six middle and three high schools. There are about 1,700 total staff dedicated to the educational enrichment of each youth in grades Pre-K through 12. Announcement for Minority Parent Election to Serve on Superintendent
There will be a meeting for all parents who have children that attend the Bullitt County Public Schools for the purpose of electing a minority parent to the superintendent screening committee on Thursday, November 30 at 7:00 pm at the Bullitt County Public Schools Central Office located at 1040 Highway 44 East, Shepherdsville, KY. 40165. Those minority parents wanting to serve on the superintendent screening committee will need to make a 1-2 minute presentation sharing their interest and qualifications to serve on the superintendent screening committee at this meeting. All parents attending the meeting will have an opportunity to vote for one of the minority parents who made a presentation to serve on the superintendent screening committee. Parent Member Election to Screening Committee
The Bullitt County Board of Education is seeking a parent to serve on its superintendent screening committee. The screening committee will screen all applicants and recommend candidate names to the Board of Education for the position of superintendent. The time commitment of committee members includes a minimum of two evening meetings, as well as time to check candidate references.
To apply to serve on the screening committee submit a one page letter of interest, expressing your interest and your qualifications mail or hand deliver your letter of interest to: Bullitt County School District; Attention: Screening Committee; 1040 HWY 44 East Shepherdsville KY 40165, letters must be received no later than Noon on Friday, Oct. 27.
