2015 Kindergarten Kickoff
Kindergarten students gather to help cut the ribbon at Paroquet Springs Conference Centre to officially open the 2015 Kindergarten Kickoff. All 13 Bullitt County elementary schools had a booth with the principal and kindergarten teachers present. This child looks at a giveaway at the Brooks booth. The school has a new principal - Melissa Boyle. A lot of activity at the Roby Elementary School booth. Roby also has a new administrator with Brittany Knipp. With balloons decorating the Shepherdsville Elementary School booth, kindergarten teachers greeted kids and parents. Visitors stop by the Cedar Grove Elementary School booth. Counselor Casey Newberry can be seen kneeling and greeting a student. The congestion of people in the aisle is sort of symbolic of what Maryville Elementary School staff and students will contend with during a major renovation. Maryville staff wore shirts indicative of the construction to the facility. The Pleasant Grove Elementary School booth featured the popular fish pond. Old Mill Elementary School kindergarten teacher Debbie Pack greets a new student. Nichols Elementary School Principal Sheri Hamilton photographs a new student as kindergarten teacher Jill Reverman smiles. Overdale Elementary School Principal Adrienne Usher greets a new student. A new Freedom Elementary School kindergarten student listens to his teacher. Mt. Washington Elementary School will also experience a major renovation this year hence the hello hard hat. Lebanon Junction Elementary School kindergarten teachers answer questions from parents. Participants at Kindergarten Kickoff could select a free book. In addition to schools, central office departments such as transportation were onhand so students could board an school bus before the first day of school. Department of Pupil Personnel Administrative Assistant Debbie Farmer provides information to a parent. Infinite Campus Coordinator Lesa Duncan answers questions.
