Shepherdsville Elementary School Story Walk
Shepherdsville Elementary School kindergarten teacher Kendra Watson led her students on a Story Walk sponsored by the Family Resource center. Kindergarten classes read the story of White Rabbit and the Coloring Book page by page on signs posted around the school. Kristy McMillen's students take their turn on the Story Walk sponsored by the SES Family Resource Center. Students are excited on the Story Walk! The wonderment of reading is evident in Kassie McCubbins class on the Family Resource Center sponsored Story Walk. SES Volunteer Coordinator Donna English mixed food coloring in water to enhance the Story Walk. Kindergarten teacher Beth Cox read a page do the book during the Story Walk which met the standards/requirements of literacy, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, physical activity, science and art. Students enjoyed the Story Walk sponsored by the Family Resource Center. SES Family Resource Center Coordinator Traci Gould demonstrated how food coloring added to the Story Walk for preschool students. Preschool students proceeded with enthusiasm to the next page of the Story Walk sponsored by the SES Family Resource Center.
