2017 Old Mill Elementary School "Living" History Museum
Landon Knieriem as Patrick Henry spoke about patriots and war heroes during the third annual Old Mill Elementary School David Searcy as Milton Hershey, the iconic creator of Hershey chocolates. He even had a bowl filled with Hershey kisses to give to visitors. Damon Merzweiler as John Paul Jones in front of an elaborate prop of a ship. Sydney Showalter as female sharpshooter Annie Oakley. Fifth grade students read a biography and learned about the lives of men and women who shaped the United States and the world. Angel Turner as Betsy Ross was recorded on camera by proud family members. Each student stood perfectly still and came to life when visitors tapped a button on the floor. Jeffrey Marzian as Booker T. Washington. Each student learned about bravery, hard work and dedication to mankind which they delivered in a brief synopsis. Kelly Atcher's presentation as Queen Elizabeth I was recorded on video.
