Maryville Elementary School Wax Museum
Maryville Elementary School fifth grade students in Kimberly Tabler and Ashley Gallusser's classes hosted a wax museum April 21. Taylor Robinette informed students about the life of Walt Disney. Shelby Lucado told visitors about the famous diary of Anne Frank. Students researched famous individuals then waited for guests to 'activate' them. Whitney Harley and Taylor O'Neal were Clara Barton and Louisa May Alcott, respectively. Francisco Mendez - Del Castillo was Major League Baseball's first African American player Jackie Robinson. Francisco even gave his presentation in English and Spanish. Brent Caple and Cole Graham as explorers Lewis and Clark fielded questions from fellow students. Lynnsey White as Pocahontas. Students had to find the bird in her display to bring her character to life. Baron Williams and Wade Wilson as astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, Caleb Day was a very enthusiastic President George Washington. Savannah Hilbert as Harriet Tubman featured an interactive and detailed display. Abbie Lawson related the life and work of Jane Goodall. Nalani Harvey as the first female pro football player Ashley Martin. Rory Flick as aviator Amelia Earhart. In the background is Ardian Prushi as President Harry Truman. Kamri Farley and Heather Loveland as Anna Mae Hays and Captain Keil. Madison Brewer and Karlee Vincent as The Wright Brothers. Emilee Moskowitz as Pocahontas. Beside her is tour guide Christian Wilson.
