Shepherdsville Elementary Saturday School Cookout
Shepherdsville Elementary School students played with hula hoops during a cookout for the Saturday school program. Shepherdsville Elementary School students played corn hole during a Saturday school cookout. One of the many games coordinated by Dennis Minnis and Traci Sewell was balancing a rubber ball while walking around cones. Students tagged during competition. Stacking buckets into a pyramid. Traci Sewell discussed the next activity with kids. Students were challenged by throwing a frisbee into a goal. The Saturday school cookout included hot dogs, chips, an icy treat, an apple and either chocolate or white milk. Students filled their tray with food. Smaller children were assisted by those who were older. A large crowd of Saturday school students and parents attended the cookout. The final activity was the parachute game. Students made a parachute by lifting the fabric as high as they could. At one point, girls were on the floor while boys lowered the parachute over them then they took turns. The parachute game was part of the Shepherdsville Elementary Saturday School cookout.
