Shepherdsville Elementary School Story Walk Part II
Shepherdsville Elementary School preschool through second grade students had an opportunity to read the book Is Your Mama a LLama? by walking around the school and stopping at stations. Students and teachers were able to feel wool and compare textures, infer and predict, use rhyming and vocabulary skills, and use science skills to match baby animals to their mothers, learn about habitat, and interesting facts about each animal referenced in the book. It was a fun day for Preschool through second grade at Shepherdsville Elementary School as they enjoyed a Family Resource Center Literacy activity called Story Walk. Shepherdsville Elementary School teachers and students enjoyed Story Walk. Students had an opportunity to read the book Is Your Mama a LLama? by walking around the school and stopping at stations. Students pointed out exciting words during Story Walk. Students started the Story Walk at the school's back entrance.
