New District Website

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

On May 25th 2010 at 12:01 am Bullitt County Public Schools launched their new and improved district website.  The site has been completely re-designed with ease of use in mind.  Over the next few weeks district staff will be updating their department pages with even more content.  Be sure to check the site often.  Below are some of the major improvements.

  • Streamlined appearance (less clutter)
  • District News Blog – You’ll find everything about district news on the blog including RSS Feeds
  • Improved Search Capability
  • BCPS How To’s – An up to date listing of How To’s relating to BCPS that are completely searchable.  (ex. How To enroll my child in school)

In order for these improvements to work properly end users must have certain versions of software and plugins for their browser.

  1. Internet Explorer 7 and above (IE6 will work but some pages might display differently) or Firefox version 3.6 and above.
  2. Microsoft Silverlight Plugin for Archived Video (if the plugin is not installed a link will be displayed to download it)
  3. Microsoft Windows Media Player for Live Video

Why don’t any of my old bookmarks work?

  • The way in which the old website was designed doesn’t allow us to preserve the bookmarks you may have to pages or files.  You’ll need to update your bookmarks to the new site.  One way of finding things is to use the new and improved search feature.
