Bullitt County Public Schools: The Leader in Educational Excellence

District Recruitment Fair is April 18

2016 District Recruitment Fair

The fourth annual District Recruitment Fair is Tuesday, April 18th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at North Bullitt High School.

Aspiring educators are encouraged to attend the open house style fair and bring their resumes. Principals from all Bullitt County Public Schools will be in the media center.

Director of Human Resources Jennifer Wooley said, “This is really a one-stop shop for anyone interested in applying for a job in the district. Whether they are fresh out of college or entering education after working in the business, government or military fields, we welcome all candidates.”

The recruitment fair gives prospective employees a chance to meet and exchange information with the very principal they may be working for during the 2017-2018 school year.

Wooley said many things are attractive about working for BCPS such as instructional supports, cutting edge teaching strategies, emphasis on college and career at all grade levels and a neighborly atmosphere in which every school has a sense of community with the benefits of city access.

“There are so many reasons for people to choose our district,” Wooley said. “Candidates will feel the excitement the moment they meet the principals. Each school has a distinctive personality where they will find which is the best fit for their style of teaching.”

Each school is a feeder facility into a specific high school. For example, if a candidate is selected to teach at Shepherdsville Elementary or Bernheim Middle School, students from both schools will eventually attend Bullitt Central High School.

The same is true with Bullitt East and North Bullitt High Schools. Each elementary and middle school in the eastern area of the county feeds into BEHS. Every elementary and middle school in the northern part of the county feeds into NBHS.

Wooley said it is vital to have excellent educators employed at all grade levels.

"We want the best, most dedicated educators in the classrooms,” she said. “Our students count on them every day.”
