The following is a proposal to reduce student crowding at schools in the eastern part of the county, especially Pleasant Grove Elementary and to more effectively utilize classroom space in the northern part of the county, will be submitted to the Board of Education for consideration at its November 27, 2017 regular meeting. See the attached link for the specific proposal and streets that would be affected should this be approved. There is a limited public comment period near the beginning of each regular business meeting of the Board of Education.

Parents may make application December 1 through January 15, for a student transfer in accordance with Board Policy to attend an Elementary or Middle School identified as accepting transfers for the next school year

By unanimous action, the Bullitt County Board of Education authorized Superintendent Keith Davis to close schools for one day if Gov. Matt Bevin calls a special session concerning pension reform, so that staff members may, if they choose, attend the session and speak with legislators about the public pension issue.

STLP State Champions Sphero Hero State Champs

Twenty-eight 5th grade STLP students recently represented Pleasant Grove Elementary at Rupp Arena in the STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program) state competition. Brinley Mondun, Presley Madison and Olivia Strange coded robots to tell a story with different obstacles and scene changes and were STATE CHAMPIONS in Sphero Hero!!!

Pleasant Grove's STLP Broadcast crew had 48 hours to create a 3-minute video using a list of elements that were released at 9am on Tuesday.  "They worked together and did a fantastic job coming up with a good script," Mrs. Egan commented.  Click this link to watch the video "March Madness Mishap"  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCAuvLnZklo.  The video will be entered in the state STLP competition and the winners will be announced next Thursday at Rupp Arena!
