BMS Principal's Message

Dear BMS Family,

Bernheim Middle School hosts a community of educators who believe in teaching the whole child.  Teachers collaborate regularly to determine the best way to teach each individual child with methods that best meet the students' needs. Students are engaged in rigorous learning activities helping them master standards in all content areas, all the while teachers are constantly assessing progress toward the mastery of these standards.  It is through this process of constant reflection that we have grown as a Professional Learning Community with a laser-like focus on student success.

At BMS we will provide students with a safe, caring and engaging school atmosphere to help students focus on learning; thus, causing them to learn to love learning.  We will celebrate student success and showcase their efforts and growth as learners.  We will seek to create ways to develop students’ inner strength and their ability to persevere through life's challenges, be they academic, social or emotional.

We would like to encourage you to be proactive and use teacher websites, lesson plans, emails, Remind ® App, as well as Infinite Campus to stay connected.  BMS uses Facebook, Instagram and our blog, BMS Newsbytes, to send information to parents and guardians on a regular basis. BMS teachers know and believe parents are our number one ally in the effort of growing successful students! Please know we are here to serve the BMS community and are willing to support our BMS family any way we can.

Together we will move forward with a collective vision for success, “Every Student, Every Day ~ Creating a Legacy of Excellence.”  We will continue to learn through the Bullitt County Public Schools Graduate Profile competencies as we grow every student, every day.  Our mission is to inspire and equip our students to succeed in life.

If ever you need anything, please feel free to contact me at katie.stephens@bullitt.kyschools.us or (502) 869-4000 any time.

Most Sincerely,

Katie Stephens, Principal

Bernheim Middle School
