February 22:  Quad B @ Bullitt East High School:  1st Place for the Region.  Quad B is the most difficult chess region in Kentucky.  Hebron had never played in the Quad B Regional until 2016.  In order to qualify for the Sweet Sixteen Chess Championships teams have to finish in the top 4 in their regional.  Hebron has qualified three straight years but had failed to win the prestigious Quad B Chess Championship until this year with a score of 15.5 points out of a possible 20.  Hebron won on tie breaks defeating Meyzeek Middle School who had the #2 ranked team in Kentucky at the time based off of team rating

March 7:  State Team @ Bullitt Central High School.   7th Place out of 16 teams at the State Title.  If we had scored 3 pts we would have tied for 3rd in the State.  We had a great year.  We lost to only two teams the whole year and that was  to the top two teams in Kentucky.

Hebron won round 1 vs St. Nicholas Middle School 3.5 - 0.5

Hebron lost round 2 to Meyzeek Middle School who 3.0 - 1.0

Hebron lost round 3 to State Champion Beaumont Middle 3.5 - 0.5
