Welcome to Hebron Middle School!
Hello Panther Families,
I am currently participating in a book study on The One Thing: The surprisingly simple truth behind extraordinary results, by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan. With the multitude of issues we face on a daily basis, it is easy to become overwhelmed and lose focus of what is most important to us on a personal and professional level. As a husband, father, son, brother, friend, and principal I have many responsibilities and demands placed on me, but I know that if I prioritize and have a plan, I can accomplish all I am required to do. I may even find time to do things I want, not just what I need.
One quote has stuck out to me: "The ONE Thing sits at the heart of success and is the starting point for achieving extraordinary results." Here at Hebron Middle School, our Mission Statement has provided us with the starting point. Developing learners and leaders is what we are about. Building relationships, respect and perseverance is how we will accomplish that. To start our year, we are focused on building relationships. In August, we had a Back to School Bash that was well attended. I had several parents and students share how much fun they had. This month, we will be having a Fall Festival. These are both efforts to provide opportunities for our Panther families to be engaged and active with our faculty and staff outside of school to build relationships between ourselves and you.
As we continue to progress through our school year, we will provide more opportunities to build respect. Some of the initiatives we have are JROTC, Student Council, cafeteria workers and table captains, KYA & KUNA, Girl Code/Guy Time, and others. We believe that we must have strong relationships built on trust before we can help our students learn self-respect and respect for others. Having so many initiatives and opportunities is important for our students to find a niche where they can thrive. The faculty and staff of Hebron has dedicated themselves to providing those and are excelling in identifying new ways to engage our students.
As always, I encourage parents to contact our teachers with questions or concerns. I love coming to school everyday and am honored to serve as the principal of Hebron Middle School.
