NTI Possible Thursday, 2/3/2022

Good afternoon, BCPS Family!

As you know, here in BCPS our first Core Value is that our students matter most. As a part of this value, our top priorities are to keep our students safe, healthy, and learning in person as much as possible throughout this school year. However, due to the forecast for potential significant winter weather later this week, it is possible that BCPS may need to use an NTI Day on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022. We wanted to let you know as soon as possible so that you can plan ahead as needed for your family. Again, no official decision has been made at this time

We are actively monitoring the weather and forecasts closely and hope to be able to make the final decision sometime tomorrow. If not, as always, you can expect this decision to be made Thursday morning at 5 AM at the absolute latest, with notifications rolling out shortly after.

Unless you receive notification through one of the following methods, BCPS will be open and operating in-person, as normal.

  • Students, families, and staff will be notified through our Infinite Campus messaging system via call, text, and/or email (depending on the preferences you select through your IC Portal).
  • The announcement will also go live on all of our district social media accounts (BCPS Facebook, BCPS Twitter, BCPS Instagram).
  • Local news stations will also have this information on their lists of school closures and delays. We currently notify WHAS11, WLKY, WDRB, WAVE3, the Pioneer News, and the Courier Journal.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to keep our students safe, healthy, and learning in-person to the greatest extent possible!
