Support JROTC at their upcoming Volksmarch Fundraiser

Come support the JROTC at their Volksmarch Fundraiser on October 15, from 3:00-8:00 PM! A Volksmarch Fundraiser is a form of non-competitive fitness walking that helps raise money for a chosen cause. The Fundraiser will be held at the BCHS Football Field/Track, where our JROTC cadets will run and walk ten miles to raise funds for our future events and competitions. Feel free to join in the trek to help us raise money.

Our JROTC cadets have stayed busy since the beginning of this school year, providing Color Guard activities not only at our home football games, but also at the University of Louisville home football game against Eastern Kentucky University on September 11. The cadets are currently scheduled to provide Color Guard services for UofL again when they play Boston College on October 23. They will also be providing the Color Guard for the Lebanon Junction parade on Saturday, October 2.

Our Raider Team has competed at Central Hardin and Fort Knox, where both competitions were judged by senior cadets from UofL and Western Kentucky University. The Raiders will compete again on Saturday, October 2, in the Logan County Raider Rumble. Judges will include senior cadets from WKU and the Kentucky Army National Guard.

As part of our service learning, JROTC seniors will select a local organization to receive a portion of the proceeds as a donation during the Volksmarch Fundraiser. We request donations and/or sponsoring cadets for admission to this event! Concessions will be available -- so come raise money, eat, and get a workout in support of our JROTC cadets. All walkers, runners, veterans, faculty, athletes, students, families, and community members are invited.
