Ms. Wilson named Teacher of the Year

Ms. Wilson

Congratulations to Taylor Wilson, our very own Teacher of the Year! Ms. Wilson has been with us here at NBHS for five years, the entirety of her teaching career to date, but this isn’t the only time she’s pursued education in these halls -- she actually graduated from NBHS in 2010!

Ms. Wilson describes her favorite part of working in education as her students: “High school is such a unique experience and time in our lives. I really enjoy watching my students and playing a part in their lives as they grow into adulthood.” She teaches mostly 11th grade students in the subjects of English, AP Language and Composition, and Journalism. In addition, Ms. Wilson is a PBIS Coach and SBDM Representative for NBHS.

Ms. Wilson is excited to be recognized as Teacher of the Year. “I know that all teachers are working so hard right now, especially during remote learning,” she says. “I love my school and community and I want to make North Bullitt a place that students and staff want to be at. I’ve worked really hard to be part of the changes that we are making in our school culture; I just feel really honored that my co-workers can see and feel the impact of the work I am doing.”

We definitely can see your impact, Ms. Wilson -- congratulations, Teacher of the Year!
