Transfer Application Now Available!

Transfer Applications are Open!

April 25, 2022

Bullitt County Public Schools is now accepting applications for nonresident K-12 students who are interested in attending one of our schools for the 2022-2023 school year.

Who This Affects:

  • Anyone residing outside of Bullitt County that would like to attend Bullitt County Public Schools

  • Though HB 563 doesn't apply to school-age children of BCPS Staff or those seeking a temporary out-of-district transfer, these groups will still need to reapply following the directions below.

The Details:

  • Nonresident students (with the exception of school-aged children of BCPS staff members) will be charged an annual tuition in accordance with Board policy.

    • These rates (for new nonresident students and for those already on reciprocal contracts with neighboring districts) will be determined on June 13th at the regular monthly meeting of the BCPS Board of Education.

    • The anticipated date for a Board approved nonresident transfer policy is July 1st, 2022.

  • Transportation will not be provided outside of school district boundaries.

  • Nonresidents can begin the enrollment process as of today, April 25th, 2022.

    • Families need to apply quickly due to grade level and classroom/school capacity limits.

    • The date and time stamp on the submitted Online Registration (more information below) will be used as determination for order of acceptance.

  • All transfer applications are due June 1st, 2022.

  • Accepted applicants will be notified over the summer.

How to Apply:

  • Please contact the BCPS Pupil Personnel department in order to obtain an application.

  • Applicants must complete the Online Registration (OLR) Process (available on our BCPS District website) & submit the Transfer Request Application to the DPP office by June 1st.

    • Applicants should also be prepared to provide records of student attendance, grades, and behavior from their previous school.
