We're excited to announce that we've hired a Boys Basketball Coach and we will be holding an Open Gym on Wednesday, August 26 from 6:00 - 7:30 for any 4th or 5th grade boy interested in playing.

Please note that a current Sports Physical must be on file to participate in this extracurricular activity. Sports Physcial forms can be picked up at school and returned to the front office upon completion.

Good Morning Trailblazer Families

We recognize we had some issues with our afternoon Pick Up procedures yesterday and we want to provide some reminders on how dismissal within the DashPass system will function:

Bus Riding, Walkers, and/or Right At School Students
If your student is a walker, rides the bus, or attends Right At School, YOU MUST MAKE THAT SELECTION IN THE DASHPASS APP. If you don't, they will default to a car rider.

To check and/or change their status, please see this video (Setting Up Bus Rider in Dash Pass) and follow these steps:

  • Open the DashPass App

  • Click on the "Bus" Icon at the bottom right of the screen (ANYTHING BESIDES CAR RIDER IS MADE IN THAT SECTION INCLUDING WALKER AND RIGHT AT SCHOOL)

  • Click "Add Student to Bus"

  • Select the Bus they ride

  • Scroll Down to the "Select One or More Days" section and select all the days you want them to ride the bus or attend Right At School

  • After selecting the correct number of days, scroll down and click "Submit"

Once completed, your student should now be defaulted to a Bus Rider and/or Right At School

DashPass Issues?
If you have questions or are having issues with DashPass, please reach out to us ASAP (502-869-7400)! This is our primary method for making sure students are dismissed in a safe and orderly manner.

We apologize again for any issues you experienced yesterday. We will get the system running efficiently but it will take ALLL parents/guardians utilizing the DashPass App and ensuring there students are correctly listed.

Car Riders
Our car rider line continues to have issues with students being correclty "Queued." To ensure your student is sent out in a timely manner, please remember to:

  • Ensure Location Services are enabled for your phone.

  • Open the DashPass App as soon as you get on campus.

  • Ensure once you hit the "Staging Area" that your car is showing as "Queued"

  • Leave the application open (and refresh if needed) until your student is released from the school.

The DashPass App works with Location Services to locate you within the line. If you turn off the app after getting "Queued" in the staging zone, it will NOT update once you pass the crosswalk into the "Pickup Zone" and your students will not be released.

Happy Friday Trailblazer Families,

We made it to the weekend! It's been a great week back and we appreciate your patience with the start of the new school year.

After careful consideration, we have decided to make an update to our Morning Drop Off Procedures. Starting Monday we will begin the following procedures:
-We will be utilizing a 2 Lane Drop Off in the Morning.
-Please pull up in both lanes until the “Unload Here” sign where a staff member will be holding a Stop Sign.
-Students will exit out of the passenger side of the vehicle in both lanes.
--Students in the outside lane (closest to the parking lot) will walk down the middle walkway between both lanes and cross over to school at the Crosswalk.
-Once all students have exited vehicles and walked across the crosswalk, we will release all vehicles forward and pull up the next wave of cars.
-You can release your student out of their car anywhere there is a middle walkway (Blue Dot and forward as pictured).
--Outside lane students MUST use the middle walkway to the crosswalk.

Updated Drop Off Procedures

Happy Thursday Trailblazer Families,

We had another great day at Crossroads with some progress in our Morning Drop Off and Afternoon Pickup. A few reminders and updates:

Morning Drop Off (We Shaved 17 Minutes Off our Time Today!):
-Pull up as far as possible in the morning to increase the number of students we can get out in each wave. A staff member will direct you to the furthest pull ahead point.
-As soon as your car is parallel with the front of the building, you can release your student onto the sidewalk.
-Have your student exit out the passenger side onto the sidewalk as quickly as possible.
-Students arriving late due to back up in the line will NOT be counted tardy and will be able to eat breakfast if needed.

Afternoon Pick Up (10 Minutes Faster than Yesterday!):
-Please make sure to open your DashPass App on as soon as you turn into the Crossroads drive way.
-Make sure your app says your student has been "Queued"
-If you don't see that your student has been "Queued" in your app after passing the Gaga Pit (big wooden pen in the front field), hit "Release Student" on your application.

As a Reminder: ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS NEED TO HAVE THE APP DOWNLOADED (even if you're a Bus Rider or Walker). We're happy to report we're up to 88% of students who are covered by a parent/guardian in the app.

If you're having issues, please contact the school at 502-869-7400.

Happy Wednesday Night Trailblazer Families,

What an exciting first day back! Thank you for your patience with all that comes with a new school year including our pick-up and drop off procedures.

Please be sure you have downloaded our new dismissal program: DashPass. You should have received an email from DashPass inviting you to download the app and login. Your email would've been sent to the same email you used to register your student for school and/or what you have on file with the school. Please check your spam folder if you've not yet received it.

ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS NEED TO HAVE THE APP DOWNLOADED (even if you're a Bus Rider or Walker). Additionally, parents need to make sure they're sharing the application permissions with anyone else who might be picking up your student besides the listed parent/guardian (see directions on how to do that in the video links below).

You can see these helpful videos for utilizing the app:
-Parent/Guardian Sign-In
-Roster Your Student to a Bus
-Add Authorized Drivers to your Account
-Authorize Other Users to Pick up Your Student

You can access those videos and others (including language specific ones) by accessing DashPass Youtube.

Happy Wednesday Trailblazer Families,

In between the new start time, new process, and the rain, it was an exciting day at drop off! We appreciate your patience this morning.

We have a some reminders to share about how the drop off line will function:

  1. Please utilize BOTH lanes until the merge section near the curve (See Blue Dot in picture).. This will help reduce traffic back-up off of the school grounds.

  2. Once you've reached the merge section, please TAKE TURNS with cars from each lane pulling into the drop off lane.

  3. Please pull all the way forward to the sign and where the staff member is directing you. To accommodate the larger number of students at drop off, we may bring that sign further down the sidewalk.

  4. Please help your students with exiting the vehicle independently on the passenger side. We will attempt to support with that, but we have limited staff to assist at each car and having a driver or other passengers exit the vehicle to assist slows down drop off procedures for everyone else.

  5. Please do not release your students before 8:50 AM as we have no supervision out front until that time.

No students were counted as tardy today due to the weather and new procedures. We will attempt fine tune this system over the coming days. If further changes need to be made, we will communicate those to you ASAP.

Thank you again for your patience and positivity today as we all try to make it a great first day for our students!
