What an eventful day it's been! We hope many of you are getting water back to your homes. If/when we return to school, we will likely be under a Boil Water Advisory which would render our water fountains unusable for students. As such, we are encouraging students to bring water to school if they're able. The district has provided a limited amount of water bottles for us to distribute to student as needed.
We look forward to seeing all of our Trailblazers back to school very soon! Stay safe and let us know if we can support you in any way.

Good Afternoon Trailblazer Families,
Now that School Dismissal Manager is live and everyone has their access codes, we wanted to share a few reminders for school dismissal.
DISMISSAL EXCEPTIONS
Parents are allowed to change their default pick-up method (Car Rider, Bus Rider, or Right At School) up until 2:30 PM. After that time, you CANNOT make any changes to dismissal without coming into the building.
PICK UP
There is no access to the front lanes of the school during school hours. At approximately 3:15, we will remove those cones and pull car forward to the end of the school building in both lanes. Using your School Dismissal Manger App, you will input your students 4 digit code AFTER passing the student crosswalk at the front of the building (the purple dot in the photo). DO NOT ENTER THE CODE BEFORE PASSING THE CROSSWALK! We DO NOT allow students to walk to cars stopped before the crosswalk for safety reasons. Students will be dismissed at 3:40 and will walk to their cars using the middle walkway between the pickup lanes. You are allowed to get out and assist students as needed when entering cars in the afternoon. Once all students have entered cars, we will release both lanes and pull up the next set of cars. We will have at least two staff members directing traffic in the afternoon.
Please note: if you do not have your School Dismissal Manager code, you will be required to show your ID and be confirmed as an approved pick-up on Infinite Campus BEFORE having your student released.

Thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), BCPS students at eligible locations will receive free school meals again this year!
Eligible Locations: Brooks Elementary, Cedar Grove Elementary, Crossroads Elementary, Freedom Elementary, Lebanon Junction Elementary, Maryville Elementary, Nichols Elementary, Overdale Elementary, Roby Elementary, Shepherdsville Elementary, Bullitt Lick Middle School, Bernheim Middle School, Zoneton Middle School.
In order to maintain this program and support critical school funding, each family is still required to complete a Household Income Form (HIF). This form ensures we have accurate data to continue receiving important resources that benefit all students.
