We know dismissal still gets frustrating at times, but our Staff has been working hard this year. Many people working over their time and not getting paid. We are lucky to have such great staff that pitch in. They go above and beyond for our families!!

Attention Parents!!! Please help support the Arts and Humanities program at FES by ordering from Art to Remember. Here is a link to the FES Art to Remember Website: https://arttoremember.com/school/bbnqf9 (You can enter the online order code from your child’s paper that will be sent home on Oct. 17 or you can search for your child’s artwork by entering their first/lastname now.) This is a big fundraiser for our FES Arts and Humanities Program. This money provides art and music supplies for our students to use throughout the school year as well as supporting a Christmas Play, end of the year Talent Show and more. Art to Remember artwork makes great Christmas, Birthday, or anytime gifts for family and friends. This fundraiser consists of artwork that students have created during art class. This year's artwork follows our school theme of Habitats. Would you like for your child to be the Art Teacher for a Day? The Top Selling Art to Remember student will get to be the Art Teacher for a Day. Would you like to help your child’s classroom earn an extra 30 minutes of art time for their classroom? Top Selling Class earns an extra 30 minutes of art time. (If you would like to choose a different original piece of artwork that your child created at home, you can upload this on the Art to Remember website as well. SUBJECT: Your student is invited – please RSVP Dear families, We’re going to Scotland & Ireland in Fall 2025, and you’re invited! We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Please use the RSVP link below to register for ONE of these Info Sessions to be considered for this opportunity: Thu. Oct. 26: https://bit.ly/3nvCZKf (Freedom Elementary) OR Mon. Oct. 30: https://bit.ly/46waCwP (Bullitt Lick Middle School) When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure. In this info session, we’ll talk about: · How this opportunity will benefit your student · What we’ll see and do on our trip · Everything that’s included in this experience · How your child can earn academic credit · How we’re keeping this safe and affordable · How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity! Thanks, Ms. Lynn Lagermann

We had a great time welcoming our preschool and kindergarten grandparents in for breakfast and shopping at the book fair this morning! Up next tomorrow is 1st and 2nd grade. If you are enjoying breakfast and shopping at the book fair with us, the doors will open at 8:15. Please park in the open grass field behind the parking lot. This will help ensure that staff members are still able to park in the lot when they arrive at school. The book fair will close to visitors at 9:00 am promptly so that we can begin our school day. We are excited to welcome our 1st and 2nd grade grandparents tomorrow!

Hello families! I hope that you had a great Fall Break and are ready to conquer Quarter 2! In working to take into your thoughts and concerns regarding car rider, I want to share our new afternoon car pick up plan with everyone. This new plan will mirror our morning drop off plan. The main difference from morning drop off to afternoon pick up is the double lines at pick up. Once you enter the parking lot you will double up and pull all the way to the first light post. Please see the image below for guidance. This change will start tomorrow, Tuesday, October 10th. Staff will be outside to assist with the change. While this change doesn't immediately take cars off of Old Preston, this will help us in further plans to free up the street.
