Congratulations to the October Bulldogs of the Month!

Congratulations to our first set of kindergarten sight word superstars! They each received a prize today!

This is the absolute best way to start any morning! Check out these three PAWsitive office referrals for great attitudes, work habits, and meeting goals. The smiles and excitement when calling home are super contagious. Great job, Zion, Paisley and CaitLynn!

Tomorrow (Thursday) is our Title 1 Family Literacy Night from 5:30-7pm. Check out these door prizes provided by our FRC!

Bet Lee and Anastasia are excellent examples of students who maintain a positive outlook each day and model good classroom strategies as they learn. Great job!

It's the moment you have all been waiting for! Our yearbooks from last year have been delayed due to a printing error. We finally have the corrected yearbooks in and are distributing those to students today. If you have a middle schooler who has a sibling who attends LJES, we are sending it home with the sibling. For those who no longer have a child at LJES, the yearbook has been delivered to Bernheim to distribute.
We do have a limited number of extra copies available for purchase if you would like to purchase a copy in our front office. They are $20 each.

Look at the excitement on these faces! Paisley and Emberly created goals for their reading fluency and both met their goals during their time working with Ms. Dixon. Great job!

Fifth graders participated in a hands-on experience today with Barbara's Crafty Tales, learning about Native Americans. Students were able to explore different artifacts and items that would have been used during the time period.

The Book Fair is open this evening 5:30-7:00pm for parents to shop with their child.
Tomorrow is Dot Day! Wear a dot or lots of dots! We can't wait to see all the dots in the building.

Have you ever taken the time the think about the time and effort that goes into learning how to write letters correctly? Our K student are practicing writing letters correctly (top line to the bottom line) and how to use their finger spacing between words. The letter 't' seems simple enough but even those simple letters can be tricky!

Shout out to Chrissy and Ollie for setting the example for others through their behavior and work ethic. They are rocking fifth grade! Keep up the great work!

PTA is holding SBDM elections for one parent representative and one minority parent representative. Ballots are located in the front office. You may stop by the school office anytime during school hours to vote. Voting ends at end of business day Monday.

The book fair is this week! Students will have the opportunity to shop during their class assigned time this week. Also, the book fair will be open Thursday evening from 5:30-7:00 for parents to shop with their child.
Thank you to our volunteers who helped get everything set up on Friday. You are so appreciated!

Do you know a child who isn't old enough to be in school? If so, pass on this information for them to participate in an upcoming event presented by the Family Resource Centers.

We love our Bookkeeper!

Check out these awesome 5th graders who have demonstrated proficiency in different Graduate Profile competencies. Great job! We can't wait to see their growth and see others be highlighted throughout the year.
