Bulldog Team Spotlight

Congratulations to Marissa Samuels, the LJES Classified Staff Member of the Year. Marissa works tirelessly with students to help them achieve success in the classroom. She is an encourager, creative thinker, and accountability partner. No matter how difficult things may get, Marissa continues to smile and challenge students to think for themselves as they navigate friendships and social interactions. Thank you, Marissa, for everything that you do!

Congratulations to Lana, Dixon, LJES Teacher of the Year! Ms. Dixon spends her days working with students in all grade levels, helping them to gain confidence and skills in reading. She is a resource to our staff whose expertise helps us all become better teachers and learners. Ms. Dixon is an important part of our MTSS team, determining next steps for interventions and identifying strategies to implement in the classroom. We are so glad she makes LJES her home!

Our 4th and 5th graders enjoyed a presentation from KY Shakespeare this afternoon, learning about Kentucky Pioneers.

Thank you to the FRC for coordinating with Barbara Crow from the Louisville Water Company to plan a visit with our kindergarteners today. Tapper brought along his helpers, Heather Hill and Kayla Hanak, who read to our students and spoke to them about the importance of water.

Substitute Educator Appreciation Day!

Thank you to our veterans! Students enjoyed hearing about your experiences, asking questions, and getting to see/touch the medals and other artifacts you brought with you. Thank you for your service and for taking time out of your day to teach our Bulldogs about sacrifice, duty, and honor.
