LJ Bulldog of the Month

LJ Writer Wall of Fame

We held our first drawing for bicycles this morning! Every student is eligible - all we ask is that they are giving their best effort each and every day they are here. Congrats to Preston! Preston makes school priority by being here every day and making sure to take responsibility for his learning, ensuring he makes the most of each day. Keep up the great work, Preston!

Shout out to our Academic Team and their coaches for all their hard work! They competed in their first scrimmage this past Tuesday and placed in every area. Great job!

Our first graders have been working to solve a big problem. How can we take care of the animals in our community? The Bullitt County Animal Shelter visited with our first graders today to help them prepare for their upcoming presentations. Thanks for supporting LJES!

Stay warm this weekend! We are in school Monday and Tuesday of next week and then off for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Bulldog Bark can be found below.

It's the final week for the food drive! We are excited to support the local Turnaround Center. See this info and more in this week's Bulldog Bark. https://secure.smore.com/n/gprzy

We appreciate you!

The LJES Bulldog basketball teams are dribbling their way to a great season! Both teams have been practicing their skills on the court, but also stressing the importance of sportsmanship and being a good student off the court.
This week, the boys won their first game of the season and were super excited. We have no doubt our girls are not far behind.
Shout out to our coaches Kyle and Kelly Roach for their work with the teams!

Happy Veterans Day and thank you for your service. We appreciate our family and community members who have served or are serving to provide us with the rights we have as Americans.
Our FRC today set up the White Table for students to view and for teachers to use as a teaching moment throughout the day. The White Table is a symbol for remembrance to service members fallen, missing, or held captive in the line of duty.

It may have been a short week, but students are back into routines and classrooms are alive with learning. Check out this week's Bulldog Bark for upcoming dates and information.https://secure.smore.com/n/gp3ad

Help us support others in our community!
The FRC is partnering with the Turnaround Resource Center to collect food items for holiday food baskets. The items needed are listed in the picture below. The food drive will run through November 22nd. The Turnaround Resource Center will donate a pizza party to the class that donates the most items.
