Wow! As a school we raised $871.96 for the Crusade for Children through our bucket brigade with the LJ Fire Department! that's incredible! The LJFD will reward the two classrooms who raised the most with a pizza party on field day. Congrats to Ms. Hickey's kindergarten class and Ms. Ammons' third graders. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Our school is taking proactive measures in response to potential weather forecasts for tomorrow. Each student will be sent home with a Chromebook today. It is important to note that BCPS has NOT made any decisions regarding school tomorrow at this time. Our school is working diligently to ensure we are prepared for any potential decision. Our hope and intention is for a normal school day tomorrow.

Elementary School Administrative Professionals Day is an occasion dedicated to honoring the hard work, dedication, and invaluable contributions of administrative professionals within elementary school settings. These individuals play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the school, from managing administrative tasks to providing crucial support to teachers, students, and parents alike. They are the unsung heroes behind the scenes, ensuring that everything runs seamlessly, from organizing schedules and maintaining records to offering a warm smile and a helping hand whenever needed. Thank you to Jackie, Priscilla, and Lisa who work hard to keep our building running. They know just about everything about the school and are our 'go-to' ladies when we need help.

It's National School Librarian Week and we have the very best! Ms. Barger does everything from running our morning broadcast to keeping our chromebooks and other technology in working condition, but the thing she loves most is helping students to build a lasting love for reading. She absolutely loves watching a student enjoy a book or discover a new author and she searches for new ways to introduce students to ones they haven't tried before. She encourages and motivates and always has time to listen to students or staff and pass along a good laugh. And as you can see by the picture, she loves to dress up and have fun! Thank you, Ms Barger, for all that you do for LJES!
