Tonight, May 17, the MWMS Band program had their last concert of the school year.
The Band kids recognized Mr Johnson, who will be leaving MWMS at the end of the school year. How thoughtful of these students! 💜💛
You will be missed Mr. Johnson! #GeneralsLEAD

Just a reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow, May 16. This is for professional learning/primary election day.
We will see everyone back on Wednesday, May 17.

Due to the shuttle bus from the Discovery School running behind, the buses from MWMS are slower in leaving school today. We hope to roll buses with the next 10 minutes.

MWMS 8th graders attending Bullitt East, be sure to look at this Freshman Bootcamp happening in July. #GeneralsLEAD

Pre-ordered yearbooks will be delivered to students on Wednesday during their 6th period class. If a student does not receive a yearbook, then a pre-order was not placed.
There are 38 extra yearbooks for sale that will be available, starting on Thursday morning. They cost $30, cash or check (payable to MWMS). Ms. Hutchins will be available in the cafeteria from 7:40-8:00 for these purchases. If a student misses her during this time, they can see her in room 219.
If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 502-869-5200.

Students interested in the Mt. Washington Middle Cheer Squad for the 2023-2024 school year, take a look at the attached flyer regarding cheer clinics and tryouts. Students must have a current sports physical on file in order to participate.

Families: As we near the end of the school year, please take care of any charges that are owed to the school cafeteria. If you have any questions regarding charges, please contact the school to speak with our Cafeteria Manager, Mrs. Weekman. Thank you!

MWMS Lost and Found is overflowing. If your student has lost something, be sure to have them look in Lost and Found, outside the cafeteria.

Parents and Families: Be on the lookout for an email and text for information about Field Day happenings at MWMS. Those messages will be coming out the afternoon of May 10 (Wednesday). Volunteers are needed, requirements posted for 8th grade participation and lunch details.

On Monday, May 8 MWMS welcomed Old Mill Elementary and Crossroads Elementary 5th graders. This was an opportunity for the "Future Generals" to see our school, meet the administration, hear from current students and see a brief snapshot of a day at MWMS. #GeneralsLEAD

KSA Testing is May 10, 11, 12, 15. Remember to bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook to school. Take time to eat breakfast each day of testing. Get plenty of rest each night before testing. Finally, remember to do your best on the test. We know you'll do great! #GeneralsLEAD
