Mt. Washington Middle School

Any current 7th or 8th grade student interested in trying out for the Bullitt East High School Baseball team, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, August 23 at 7:00 pm in the Bullitt East library. This will be a parent meeting for anyone that plans to tryout for the Bullitt East Freshman baseball team for the upcoming 2023 season. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Bowles at Bullitt East High School.

Reminder: Lady Generals Basketball tryouts are Thursday (August 11) and Friday (August 12) from 3:00-5:00 in the MWMS gym. Students MUST have a current sports physical in order to tryout. Physicals can be turned into Mrs. Daugherty.

We hope everyone is excited for the first day of school tomorrow!! Doors open at 7:40 am. Buses will unload in the front of the school while our morning car riders will come into the side/back of the building. The doors are on the side, facing the MW City Pool. 6th grade students, please report to the cafeteria when arriving at school. 7th and 8th grade students will report to the gym. From these locations, teachers will collect their first period classes and take them to their rooms. Once in the classroom, students will receive a paper copy of their schedule. (7th/8th graders that would like to each breakfast should go to the cafeteria, eat and then report to the gym.) #GeneralsLEAD

The MWMS Cheer Coach will be having an informational meeting for anyone interested in joining the MWMS Cheer Squad. This meeting will take place on August 18 at 5:30 pm in the MWMS Library. No experience is necessary. #GeneralsLEAD

MWMS school fees can be paid online using the MySchoolBucks website. The site link is: https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/getmain?requestAction=home The yearly $35 Chromebook fee can be paid using the site as well as the $20 MWMS Technology fee. If the site asks for a "homeroom teacher", please place the student's grade level in that field. Cash and check can only be accepted at school, so if you would like to pay these fees with a card, MySchoolBucks is the only option.

For those families interested in girls basketball: We don’t have the dates finalized yet for tryouts, but in years past they have been within the first two weeks of school. If your daughter is interested in trying out, they will need a current sports physical. The sports physical is different from the 6th grade physical. The forms have been attached to this post. Once we have definite dates for tryouts, they will be posted.
