ATTENDANCE MATTERS

11/20/2023

Nichols Knights Families,

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful week last week!  I am sending this out today since it’s a short week and I didn’t get one out this past Friday. We had a busy week here at Nichols.  Chess and Archery are in full swing.  We also had our SBDM meeting and our PTA meeting this week.  Click on the links for agendas from both meetings.  Remember that you are always welcome to attend.

SBDM Meeting Agenda

The Student handbook was shared on Class Dojo, can be found on the Nichols website, and is linked here.  Each week at the beginning of the year, I will share a couple of tidbits from the Student handbook to answer questions we have been getting phone calls about.

To ensure that we are prepared if we need to have any NTI days this year, this week’s tidbit is a repeat and is about chromebooks.  We will begin sending home Chromebooks after Thanksgiving for a trial run.  It is imperative that chromebooks come back to school charged every day.  If we have too many students who forget to bring them back or forget to charge them, we will discontinue sending them home.

TECHNOLOGY EXPECTATIONS

  • BCPS devices are for school related purposes only.

  • BCPS technology/chromebook fee of $35 must be paid each year.
