Nichols Knights Families,
It’s hard to believe that Christmas is almost here! We have had such a fun week celebrating the season with dress-up days and other special activities. And of course, Santa was here last night for our Title I Literacy Night “Cookies with Santa.” We had a record crowd here. Thank you for coming out to support Literacy and to have some fun.
We had our monthly Celebration on Thursday afternoon followed by House Parties.
Our class attendance trophy for November went to: Ms. Quiggins ’ class.
Cameron was awarded the House Spirit Award for November.
Our Mojo Banner was awarded to Mrs. Thornsberry’s class for the highest percentage of positive Dojo points.
Golden Awards.
Golden Spatula for cafeteria behavior - Mrs. Tomes/Mrs. Strange’s class* .
Golden Sneakers for hallway behavior - Mrs. Ferrell’s class.
Golden Dustpan for cleanest classroom - Mrs. Reverman‘s class.
We also recognized Koen in the Chess Club for winning 2nd place in their last tournament, and the Archery team who will be competing in their first tournament this evening. And finally, we recognized several students for their hard work and great gains in their Phonics work and iReady scores. Way to go, Nichols Knights!
*You might have noticed two names listed for Mrs. Tomes’ class. She is currently on maternity leave and Cathy Strange is our fabulous long-term sub. Mrs. Strange is a retired teacher and is doing a magnificent job. Welcome aboard, Mrs. Strange!
