ATTENDANCE MATTERS

02/09/2024

Nichols Knights Families,

In case you didn't know, this week was both National School Counselors week and also FRYSC week in Kentucky! When you work within the school system, the phrase, "it takes a village" is SO true. Nichols would not be the same without the vital support of both our school counselor and our FRYSC. Thank you, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Belcher for being a part of our village!

Next week is Kindness Week so please be on the lookout for themed dress up days and Friendship Parties on Valentine’s Day! As a reminder, if you are providing snacks or drinks for parties they must be single servings (cookies, cupcakes, juice pouches/boxes or other prepackaged snacks) and they must be store bought.

We’d also like to note that on Thursday afternoon, we had our monthly celebration and house parties!

  • Our class attendance trophy for August went to: Mrs Thornsberry’s class.

  • Our Mojo Banner was awarded to Mrs. Tomes’ for the highest percentage of positive Dojo points.

  • Golden Awards:

    • Golden Spatula for cafeteria behavior -  Thornsberry’s class.

    • Golden Sneakers for hallway behavior -  Reverman’s class.

    • Golden Dustpan for cleanest classroom -  Tomes’ class.

Congratulations to everyone for a great January!

Today’s tidbit from the Student Handbook is a repeat about:
