Nichols Knights Families,
Woohoo, we are in our last quarter of the school year! The last few months always go by quickly. Be prepared for testing, fun springtime events and, eventually, graduation for our 5th graders! We will let you know more as we get closer.
It is also registration time! All Bullitt County students are expected to have their online registration completed by their parent or legal guardian before the start of the 24/25 school year. BCPS' goal is to have all current students registered before the end of this year. This year, in an effort to make OLR easier, online registration can be accessed on both computers and tablets/phones! Please visit www.bullittschools.org/page/online-registration to register and to view more information!
If you need in person assistance with OLR, Mrs. Carnell is available every school day from 9:30a-3p. We have a chromebook set up for OLR if you do not have computer or internet access.
Before closing out this week’s Nichols News, we would like to give a big THANK YOU to Mrs. Strange. She stepped in to teach Mrs. Tomes’ 3rd and 4th grade class while she was out on leave. Mrs. Strange, we appreciate you and are so glad you were here! This is not goodbye, just a “see you later!”
Today’s tidbit is about registration documents:
Parents with students new to Bullitt County School District or returning to BCPS from outside the district will need to provide the following information and documents:
Current Photo ID/Driver's License (Required to Register)
-Two Proofs of Residency (Required to Register)
Current vehicle registration that matches the driver’s license
Current employee check stub – must have current address
Voter registration card
Government agency correspondence – must have current address
Utility bill: current electricity, gas or water bill – must have current address
Authentic home builder contract with approved district transfer, lease, closing statement, or other home dwelling document
Student Birth Certificate (Required to Register)
KY Certificate of Immunization (Required to Register)
Health Care Examination Form (Required to Register OR Appointment Card)
Eye and Dental Exams are required by January 1, 2025
