The Kentucky Science Center presented Ion Jones and the Lost Castle of Chemistry. Pleasant Grove Students experienced an exhilarating high-energy science adventure with superhero scientist Ion Jones who took them on an adventure through the exciting and sometimes explosive side of science learning.
Today Mrs. Harbin and I had the privilege to eat lunch today with a sweet, young lady. She chose to spend her hard earned LiveSchool points on the opportunity to eat with admin. Thanks for the amazing company and fun conversation, Emma!
Winter break didn’t slow these mastery learners down. Our third graders came back ready to learn today as they took an observation walk and wrote like scientists to discover forces and motion around our school.

Bullitt County Public Schools Family Resource & Youth Services Centers are partnering with the Kentucky State Police to offer an important Cyber Safety Workshop for families.

This workshop, presented by Sgt. Zach Morris with the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, will cover:
✔️ Real-life case examples
✔️ Social media platforms that may pose risks to children
✔️ Warning signs a child may be targeted online
✔️ What to do if you suspect online exploitation
✔️ Tips for prevention and digital safety at home
This is a valuable opportunity to learn how to better protect and support our students in today’s digital world. We encourage families to attend and join the conversation about keeping kids safe online. 💜

📱⌚ Cell phones & smart watches: If brought to school, they must be turned off and placed in students’ backpacks.

Ballin' with Bickley in our Grinch attire was a blast. We started with a little Knock Out followed by a half court game. It's always fun to see the friendly, competitiveness of our students along with the kindness of including everyone💜🐬
Last Wednesday, I was blessed with the sweetest lunch bunch! These boys and girls chose to spend their LiveSchool points to spend some time chatting about their elves, favorite fast food restaurants, and what they love about school. Spending time with students is the best part of my day💜🐬
Principal S. Patel and Principal LaFever ensured things were running smoothly at PGE last week.
Principal Patel made sure our House point winners were celebrated and our Positive Office Referral students were recognized.
Principal LaFever organized our Sweets with Santa materials, ensured building safety with a perimeter check, observed during a library class, and finished up celebrating more positive office referral recipients.
We enjoyed watching their leadership qualities shine during their Principals for an Hour time💜🐬

Prior to Thanksgiving Break we were fortunate to have a couple of Principals for an hour. Principal Pari Patel, Principal Watts, Principal Mullins, Principal Cook, and Principal Rodgers all spent time ensuring our building was secure, conducting Principal Pop-ins, keeping our grounds looking good, celebrating a couple of Positive Office Referrals, and providing feedback to several classrooms. These hard workers make the principal role look good💜🐬
Just a reminder--The Texas Roadhouse gift cards have arrived and are available for pick up in the office through Tuesday afternoon. Any gift cards not picked up by Tuesday afternoon will be sent home in your child’s backpack Wednesday.
