Ms. Hayes' 8th grade social studies classes completed a project based learning called Colonial Invention Shark Tank! Groups of students researched colonial inventions, worked together to create 3d models, visuals, and a business pitch with marketing. They then presented to a panel of "shark" judges to determine if they would invest in their inventions. Students grew in the graduate profile competencies of productive collaborators, effective communicators and innovative problem solvers. It was an amazing experience for our students! #showupliftuplevelup #bepartofthePACK

Thank you to everyone who came to our Title I Literacy Night! It was great to connect to our Timberwolf families and have fun! Students played games, made bookmarks, shopped vendors, ate cotton candy, shopped the used book swap and heard a band concert! Special shoutout to our staff that organized the event, our PTO, BCPL, and vendors such as Main Book Hook and Kona Ice. #showupliftuplevelup

Our archery coach collaborated with Ms. Roach's PE classes to allow 6th grade students to try out archery! Students were taught about correct positioning, aiming, and more! Thank you Coach Stewart!

Mrs. Thompson, Arts/Humanities Teacher- "She is a valuable leader at ZMS! Not only is she a longtime ZMS teacher, but serves on several commitees such as SBDM, certified advisory, and created our graduate profile student evidence slides. She rocks it out and we are lucky to have her!"
Ms. Rose, Head Custodian- " She went out of her way to give a student ice cream. She is extremely hard working and a crucial member to our Zoneton Family! When people come and visit our school they notice just how clean this place looks and Mrs. Rose Garrett is the leading charge in that endeavor! We are very blessed to have her here! "
Ms. Webb- 8th grade Math Teacher- "While taking on a new role in the 8th grade and starting a completely new subject of Algebra she has gone above and beyond. She is shining! 8th Grade is so lucky to have her brains!"

Today we were thrilled for the opportunity of a local author speaking to our 6th graders! Sarah McCartt-Jackson is a KY poet, author, and speaker to schools across the state. She is also a former educator. She led our 6th graders in thinking like poet, identifying sensory words, and all students wrote a poem. Huge shoutout of appreciation to Ms. Jackson and the KY Humanities Educational Outreach for providing this opportunity. 6th grade families, ask your student about their poems! #showupliftuplevelup
