Bullitt County Public Schools has been awarded $55,000 from the WHAS Crusade for Children to support services for students with special needs for the 2025-26 school year.
“This is certainly one of the highest amounts we have received since I’ve been around,” said Troy Kolb, BCPS Director of Special Education. “We are grateful for the Crusade’s continued commitment to helping our students reach their full potential.”
The WHAS Crusade for Children, established in 1954, raises funds to make life better for children with identified health care, educational, and emotional wellness needs. Since its founding, the Crusade has raised more than $217 million, changing the lives of millions of children in Kentucky and Indiana. Every dollar donated goes directly to agencies, schools, and hospitals that serve children with special needs.
“Partnerships like this directly align with our mission to inspire and equip all of our students to succeed in life,” Kolb added. “These funds will support critical programs and services, ensuring our students continue to grow and become future-ready.”
BCPS remains committed to their core value of Students Matter Most by seeking out community partnerships, like this, that provide additional opportunities and resources for students with diverse learning needs.
