Bullitt County Public Schools (BCPS) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mrs. Lisa Rigazio as the new Principal of Shepherdsville Elementary School, effective for the upcoming school year.
Mrs. Rigazio is a familiar face in the district, having spent the past year serving as the Principal of Nichols Elementary School and District Preschool Coordinator. Her transition to Shepherdsville Elementary marks an exciting new chapter for both her and the BCPS community.
Before leading Nichols Elementary, Mrs. Rigazio served as an elementary and middle school Assistant Principal, a Dean of Instruction, and a dedicated classroom teacher. Her numerous accolades, including being named a Kentucky Colonel for her work in literacy and receiving multiple teaching excellence awards, reflect her unwavering dedication to student-centered learning and community engagement.
In her new role at Shepherdsville Elementary, Mrs. Rigazio will champion the school's commitment to “every child, every chance, every day” by fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that honors every student’s potential.
"I am incredibly honored to join the Shepherdsville Elementary family," said Mrs. Rigazio. "My time at Nichols Elementary and with the district preschool community has been deeply rewarding, and I am eager to bring that same passion for connection, curiosity, and student empowerment to the Stingray community. Together, we will create a space where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to thrive."
