RES Principal: Tina Watson

SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY — Bullitt County Public Schools is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ms. Tina Watson as the new principal of Roby Elementary School (RES). Ms. Watson brings a wealth of instructional leadership, diverse classroom experience, and a deeply rooted commitment to student success to the Roby community, keeping our Cougar Cubs Moving Forward toward a bright future.

Ms. Watson’s extensive background spans multiple vital areas of education, including serving as a school administrator, behavior systems consultant, and special services specialist. Throughout her career, she has provided critical leadership to dozens of elementary schools, specializing in restorative practices, positive behavior systems, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Prior to these specialized leadership roles, Ms. Watson directed early childhood programming as a Director of Early Learning and spent a decade sharing her passion for education as a classroom teacher.

"Ms. Watson brings an incredible depth of instructional leadership and specialized experience to our team," said Dr. Adrienne Usher, BCPS Deputy Superintendent. "Her expertise in building supportive, positive school cultures and her foundation in early learning make her uniquely qualified to lead Roby Elementary. We know the RES community will welcome her with open arms and support her wholeheartedly during this exciting transition." 

Ms. Watson holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Park University. Her approach to school leadership centers on safety, collaboration, and a dedication to helping every child and staff member thrive.

"I'm honored to lead the school family at Roby Elementary," said Ms. Watson. "I'm looking forward to building connections with Roby students, staff, and families. It is my priority to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Roby Elementary is a school where all students and staff feel safe, inspired, and empowered to reach their highest potential."
