BULLITT COUNTY, KY – Bullitt County Public Schools is proud to recognize four of our outstanding district leaders who recently graduated from the prestigious Leadership Institute for School Principals.
The Kentucky Chamber Foundation recognized a total of 44 Kentucky principals from across the Commonwealth during a graduation ceremony held at Alltech Research Farm. Included in this elite group of graduates are Bullitt County’s own:
Ben Monnett – Principal, Crossroads Elementary School
Antone Towns – Principal, Eastside Middle School
Carla Wilson – Principal, Freedom Elementary School
Leslie Weihe – Principal, Mt. Washington Elementary School
Delivered through the Truist Leadership Institute, this rigorous, year-long executive leadership development program equips school leaders with individualized skills, perspective, and cutting-edge strategies needed to lead stronger schools and better serve students. This year's graduating class alone represents 23 counties and impacts nearly 25,000 students across the Commonwealth.
Since its launch 14 years ago, the Kentucky Chamber Foundation and its supporters have invested more than $4.5 million to train over 641 principals from 112 Kentucky counties, collectively impacting more than 3 million students statewide.
The high-caliber program is provided at no cost to the selected principals. Training is supported through an in-kind donation of $12,500 per principal from the Truist Leadership Institute, with the remaining $5,500 per participant provided through matching donations from Kentucky’s business community.
"We are incredibly proud of Principals Monnett, Towns, Wilson, and Weihe for their dedication to continuous improvement and excellence in education," said Dr. Jesse Bacon, BCPS Superintendent. "Their participation in this program reflects their deep commitment to our students, staff, and the entire Bullitt County community. Thank you to all the business leaders who invest in our education leaders."
Bullitt County Public Schools extends a sincere thank you to our dedicated principals for their hard work, as well as to Truist, the Kentucky Chamber Foundation, and the local businesses, organizations, and donors whose generous support makes this vital investment in Kentucky's future workforce possible.
