SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY — Education and local agriculture intersected in a celebration of community leadership as Kimberly Haire, an educator at Bullitt Lick Middle School, was officially recognized by the Bullitt County Farm Bureau with the prestigious Excellence in Ag Literacy Award.
The honor highlights Haire’s dedication to bringing agricultural literacy into the classroom and expanding hands-on learning opportunities for youth throughout Bullitt County.
Bridging the Gap Between Classroom and Community
The Excellence in Ag Literacy Award recognizes educators who go above and beyond to instill an understanding of agriculture's vital role in daily life, food production, and local economies. For Haire, the mission extends far beyond textbooks and traditional lesson plans.
"Agriculture education is about so much more than what happens inside the classroom—it’s about connecting students to their community, their food, their future, and the people who make it all possible," said Haire.
