SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY — Bullitt County Public Schools (BCPS) is proud to announce that two of its exceptional leaders, Kimberly Reibert, BCPS Instructional Coach, and Lisa Rigazio, Principal at Shepherdsville Elementary School, have been selected by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) for the 2027 Kentucky Women in Education Leadership (KWEL) cohort.
Reibert and Rigazio join an elite group of just 27 educators selected across the commonwealth, representing 19 school districts and two educational cooperatives.
The KWEL initiative was created by KASA to cultivate a vibrant, supportive network of female educational leaders. Designed to foster equity, confidence, and knowledge, the program provides comprehensive personal growth, career development, and one-on-one mentorship from executive-level leaders across Kentucky.
“These educators bring talent, experience and a deep commitment to the students and communities they serve,” said Dr. Rhonda Caldwell, KASA Chief Executive Officer. “Through KWEL, they will build relationships that challenge and encourage them, strengthen their confidence and prepare them to take the next step in their leadership.”
Dr. Kathy Fields, KASA Director of Leadership Development, emphasized the lasting value of the program: “Leadership grows when women have opportunities to learn from one another and put new ideas into practice. KWEL combines that shared learning with mentorship and practical support, helping each participant build on her strengths and expand her impact.”
Both Reibert and Rigazio embody the district's core mission of educational excellence, student-centered growth, and visionary leadership. Their inclusion in the 2027 cohort adds to a proud, expanding tradition of BCPS women taking active, transformative roles in shaping the future of Kentucky education.
Reibert and Rigazio will be formally inducted into the cohort during the annual KWEL Leadership Forum, scheduled for January 27–28, 2027, at the Marriott Griffin Gate in Lexington. The two-day forum will convene female leaders from across Kentucky for collaborative dialogue, inspiration, and professional learning.
