Hebron won the high attendance challenge for all the middle schools in the district! We think that deserves another hat and pj day tomorrow!!! Great job!
Do you know a student that would like to be considered for a student house leader? Nominate someone today! Descriptions are posting at the top of the form. Please make sure your kiddo knows you are nominating them and is willing to be considered. Thank you!

Tomorrow is high attendance day and Hebron wants to win!!! As an extra incentive for being at school tomorrow, you can wear PJs AND a hat if you would like! Let's top those charts and come to school ready to learn! We will have random drawings throughout the day for students and staff present tomorrow!
Drop off is not until 7:50 please do not exit your vehicles until then. We had a ton of kiddos dropped off early and it started a domino effect. This is a safety concern as we do not have adults on supervision until 7:50.
Bus #2424 will be out this afternoon. Students will need alternate transportation. Guardians should have received a notice. The bus will be back running in the AM.
Don't forget!!! Tomorrow begins our Childhood Cancer Awareness week. It will conclude with a house meeting and rally day where totals will be revealed. The house with the most donated, individually wrapped snacks will win ice cream sandwiches!
The house meeting/rally days are new for Hebron. During the rallies, we will continue some of the fun started last year and also offer concessions which will be sold by the PTSA. Since this is our first time trying it, concessions will be offered for purchase for only 8th grade students. We hope to be ready for all grades by the next house rally day!:) All items will be $1 and money will need to be brought in on Friday.
All day Friday, we will have a focus on belonging and acts of service. We are so excited for this opportunity for our students. We also look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow in their favorite team or house attire!

Please see attached flyer to learn more about chess!

Please note, bus 2407 is not running this afternoon. Thank You!
Car Rider Notice- please do not drop students off or pick up outside of the traffic pattern. We have seen an increase in students being picked up on the side of the building and/or exiting the line early. This is a major safety concern that we need to correct. Please help us by following expectations. Thank you!
Please see the attached notice and help spread the word for next week!

Good Morning Families!
We ended the first full week with the House of Friendship- Amistad, in the lead! Has your student told you about their house?? Also, if you have not received a parent letter with your child's house code in order to get the app, contact Principal Burnett at Lauren.burnett@bullitt.kyschools.us. The app allows you to see the points your student has earned and will be able to use in the school store (1st one on Sep 4) and also to track if they have received a strike.
Strikes are given for minor behavior events. For students that receive 3 strikes in one week, a lunch detention is issued. If a student receives 4 strikes in a week, they will loose Friday break. On the 5th strike in a week, students will be issued an after school detention.
Below you will find links to information about each of the houses. Please share with your student so they can be learning their house cheer, chant and hand signals. This will help them to get more connected to their house and prepare for our first house day on Sep 4! Students earn points for going above and beyond in demonstrating strong character, exemplary effort and/or achieving academic excellence. We know students are so capable of achieving greatness and we can't wait to watch them grow into the leaders they are meant to be!
With Gratitude,
Principal Burnett

Families, student handbooks are coming home today. Please review these with your students and return the signature sheet tomorrow. Students need to carry the handbooks with them as we review expectations. Student house letters will be coming home tomorrow. These letters will walk you through how to sign up for the RCA app which tracks positive points and strikes. This is a great way to track student progress! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns! Lauren.burnett@bullitt.kyschools.us
At 7:50 a.m. cars are able to begin unloading. Please pull to the front of the building following the arrows in the picture. Parents will need to pull all the way down to the end of the sidewalk on the front of the building where the image of the stop sign appears. Once the line has pulled forward and stopped, all students need to exit their vehicles at that time. Students may not get out of their vehicles on the side of the building as it will slow down the line. This will allow upwards of 15 cars to unload at a time. A staff member will be at the front and back of the line to assist. By utilizing the full length of the sidewalk, we are able to move the line quickly. This will only help however, if we use the full length of the front of our building and do not stop to let out 1-2 cars at a time. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. We hope students had a wonderful first 3 days!

Good Morning Families! Just a couple of reminders for car riders the beginning of the year:
1.) Drop off at all middle schools in the morning is 7:50. Please do not allow students to exit the car until then.
2.) Also, please pull all the way up to the end of the sidewalk in the front of the building to ensure a smooth transition.
Thank you!
