Congratulations to Makenna, Mason, and Reizyn for winning bicycles this week! Their names were drawn for being good citizens and following school expectations.

Thanks you to Mmt. Carmel Baptist Church for providing lunch for staff this week! Chick-fil-A, chips, and pie. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

Shout out to our fifth grade team, Carmen Bolyard and Shannon Johnson, and Steam Lab teacher, Mike DiEnno! These three presented to BCPS teachers on Tuesday about how they are using the Graduate Profile and authentic learning within their classroom. Way to go!

As the end of the school year rapidly approaches, the last day of our elementary transportation support through the YMCA will be next Friday, May 19th. After this date, the YMCA will no longer be able to accept students as a result of cancelled bus routes. We hope that this partnership has been a help to you and your family and we thank our friends at the YMCA for collaborating with us to support student attendance!

Reminder to all visitors: For the safety of our students, when you visit LJES and ring the front bell, we will be asking the purpose of your visit and if you have your ID with you. We know this may be frustrating if you are a frequent visitor or are known to our staff, but it is a safety precaution we must adhere to for all visitors. Thank you for understanding.

KidsFest is coming up on June 17th! For more information, check out the KidsFest Bullitt County Facebook Page or Call 502-296-1578

Huge shout out to the PTA for providing lunch for staff today. We failed to get a picture because the smells were pulling us in! The street tacos and desserts were perfect! Thank you!

It was a goodie filled day! Thanks to Amanda Jones and family for breakfast, the Foushee's for lunch, Cecilia Tractor for dessert, and a super soft blanket from administration.

We are so proud of our LJ Show Dogs!! The songs were inspired by the monthly social and emotional skills our counselor, Mrs. Willis and our teachers taught us: leadership, empathy, independence, courage and integrity.
