Our Winter LEAP Reading Program begins this Saturday. Doors open at 8:30 AM (breakfast), instruction begins at 9 AM and runs till 11:30 AM. Dismissal is at 11:30 AM. All families should have received notes sent home reminding you about the program.
Please check your emails as well as Facebook for possible closures due to weather.

Our 5th graders created a Hot Chocolate Stand. Each person had a role- it may have been part of finance, cleanup, hospitality, marketing or inventory. They worked so hard promoting their stand with preorders and fliers around the school. After the annual Holiday Singalong they served not only our MES staff and students, but it was also open to our families. They were later surprised when Dr.Bacon showed up and ordered some too! We are so proud of these kiddos for working hard, and so grateful their teachers gave them an opportunity to have an unforgettable learning experience!
Our very own Mrs.Pratt won BCPS District Elementary School Teacher of the Year! Well deserved and huge congratulations to her! Her heart and love for MES are unmatched. We love you!
