We are so proud of our students for their hard work on last year's KSA. Check out the attached image to see our awesome growth.
Ledge, Jayce and Hank stepped up to make room in our recycling bin. These boys used their earned points to take Can Crushing to the next level. They started crushing one can at a time with the can crusher. Then next went to crushing 2 cans, jumping on them after a running start. Their finale was lining them up and hopping down the line flattening every can. Loved their creativity and energy!! Just another reason to keep sending in those cans! #MillionCanRecyclingContest♻️♻️

♻️National Recycling Day♻️ It was a wonderful day of bringing in cans and making animals smile. We had many happy stuffed animals. Our school's can collection this year was held in honor of Grade A Recycling during this time of healing. We are thinking of you and sending our support. 💕 #MWES💚GradeA

The pictures seem to tell the story. The 3rd graders thoroughly enjoyed their ice cream celebration. This was all the evidence they left behind. We are so proud of their effort to reach 2000 cans and earn the reward from the Million Cans Recycling Contest!! Ready to reach the next milestone. Keep those aluminum beverage cans coming in!!!

Not getting texts from MWES?
Text START to 98900.
IF you are not getting bus texts, please be sure your child's transportation is correct in Parent Portal. Even if they only ride the bus occasionally, you should have them as a bus rider in Parent Portal This is the only way to get those notices. Contact the front office if changes are needed - not the teacher -they cannot update transportation in our system.
Bus 1719 will run as normal this afternoon - he will not be taking home 2123 students. Plan for a 'normal' afternoon. It is possible he is still covering middle and high school for another bus, but for elementary he will NOT be covering another run. If you have questions call the office.
Bus 2123 will be self transport this afternoon - Friday, Nov. 7. Plesae ignore any other communication. We apologize for the changes and confusion. ALL 2123 students will be considered car riders this afternoon.

This fundraiser helps support the Family Resource Center, which operates on a very limited budget. Funds raised will help provide things like:
👕 Clothing for our student clothes pantry
✏️ School supplies
📚 Books for incoming kindergarteners
👵 Grandparent Support Group needs
🎓 Educational assemblies & more!
Students will be bringing home an envelope with information this Friday. The class that sells the most will win a FREE appetizer party from Texas Roadhouse! 🎉🍴
📅 Envelopes are due by November 20th
