💖 Kindness Week at MWES | February 9–13 💖
Next week, MWES will be celebrating Kindness Week! This week is all about focusing on kind words, kind actions, and caring for one another and our community.
✨ Important note: We will NOT be doing a traditional dress-up week. Instead, our focus will be on meaningful acts of kindness throughout the school day. Students may wear shirts with kind words or positive messages any day, but no special dress themes are planned.
Each day, classes will complete a kind act together, and we will also be participating in a service project to help our community.
🧻 “Wipe Away” unkind words and actions by donating toilet paper to benefit Mount Washington Community Ministries. Please consider sending in a donation anytime during the week.

You can recycle your aluminum beverage cans at Kroger. The cans collected in either blue bin counts toward the Million Cans Contest! They are located at both entrances. Please put cans only, no trash. Thanks for all your support!!

The cold and snow is no reason to not continue recycling those empty aluminum beverage cans. ❄️☃️ We are thrilled to have reached 60,000 cans but still a ways to reach the 150k goal. Our third grade heroes are tracking the progress and even enjoyed a punch balloon, compliments to Tri-Arrows Aluminum, to celebrate this benchmark! ♻️♻️♻️

This memo is a reminder of our morning car rider procedures to help ensure a smooth and safe arrival for all students and staff.
Morning drop-off for car riders is 8:30–8:55 a.m. School doors close promptly at 8:55 a.m. To allow the final cars to enter and students to safely make it into the building, the large “Oops, You’re Late” sign is turned at 8:54 a.m.
If you arrive near this time, please be mindful and turn around to enter the front circle to drop your child off until 9:00 a.m. After 9:00 a.m., families must walk into the school and sign their student in for the day.
Additionally, please remain alert to the staff member holding the STOP sign in the parking lot. If the sign is turned to STOP, you must stop immediately, as parking lot traffic is exiting at that time.
Thank you for your cooperation, attentiveness, and continued support in helping us keep our arrival procedures safe for everyone.
