The Recycling Society is excited to share the incredible results of the 2025–2026 Million Cans Recycling Contest!
This year, 56 schools and 21,734 students joined together to recycle aluminum cans, raise money for their schools, and help protect our environment. 🌎
Together, students recycled an AMAZING:
🥤 3,065,195 aluminum cans
⚖️ Equal to 87,577 pounds of aluminum recycled!
MWES earned
💰 $4,167.00 in recycling cans
🏆 More than $2,000 in prize money
We are so proud of the students, families, and the entire Mt. Washington Elementary School community for coming together to make such a positive impact through teamwork, dedication, and school spirit. Your hard work and support truly made a difference in our community and beyond!. Every can truly counts!
