Attention 4th and 5th graders, we will be holding tryouts very soon for those of you who are interested in playing basketball for Mt. Washington Elementary. We are in the process of getting our coaches hired and should be starting very soon. Until the announcement of our coaches, we are asking that you go ahead and get your KHSAA sports physical completed as soon as possible. The paperwork can be turned into the office any day next week. More details about tryout dates and practice times will be announced next week.

The afternoon car riders came back to school ready to go. They did a fantastic job remembering and modeling the dismissal expectations. This earned them 10 tallies and the reward to wear crazy socks on Monday, Jan. 8th. Way to Go!!

If you ordered sweatpants from PTA’s spirit wear sale, please send an email stating whether you received the open bottom sweatpants or the elastic bottom sweatpants to treasurer.pta.mwes@gmail.com. Mrs. Mullins was recognized at the board meeting for being MWES teacher of the year. We wish her well as she advances to the district level. We think she is a winner no matter the outcome!!

Our one and only Martha "Lou" Foster received The Moving Forward Award at the board meeting. This honor was given for her dedication to our school and students. You will see her each morning with the stop sign in our car rider line. Give her a big thumbs up to say congratulations as you drive by in the morning:)

Texas Roadhouse gift cards from the FRC fundraiser have arrived for pick up. You may pick them up at school between today and Tuesday, December 12. Any gift cards not picked up by the 12th will be sent home with your student.

Bus 1973 and Bus 2020 are our today - Wednesday, Dec 6. Please take advantage of the before and after YMCA care. Drop off MUST be before 8am. Pick up must occur by 5:30pm. You should have an email from the transportation with the sign up link.
