Just a reminder- The 3rd grade team is expanding their recycling efforts the next 2 weeks by collecting those unwanted Christmas lights. You can send them into school or there will be drop off boxes at Winterfest. This is also a great way to help the environment!

Currently we are holding 6th place in the Recycling is Like Magic Contest. We are the leading school from the state of Kentucky. Woohoo! Thanks to all who have brought in cans so far. We still have work to do. So if you are having gathers with family and friends be sure to collect those cans and bring them to school. We are thankful for you. Remember - Your Can Counts!!

We’re excited to announce that this year’s Winterfest Cover Contest ended in a tie! Congratulations to Teagan and Adelyne, whose incredible artwork will be featured on our Winterfest program's front and back covers.
We were blown away by all the amazing submissions, and to recognize the creativity of our talented students, we’ll be showcasing their artwork throughout the entire Winterfest brochure.
Thank you to everyone who participated—you’ve truly made this year’s program something special. We can’t wait to celebrate Winterfest with all of you on December 7th!

Aria and Raelynn took can crushing to the next level today. They made sure those cans were smashed and didn't stand a chance against their strong legs. They worked hard and had fun! So glad they chose "can crushing" with Adams as a way to spend their earned points. Great job girls!!

So thankful for this awesome kiddo. He stepped up and gave a helping hand when needed. He even taught us a new idea that we can use moving forward. Great actions like this earn you a trip to the book vending machine. Thank you Jarrett

During our Pow-Wow we also recognized our November Chief of the Month, Mrs. Williams! Our October Chief of the Month, Mrs. Russell had this to say about our 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Williams : "Mrs. Williams deserves the title of Chief of the Month for so many reasons. She shows exemplary leadership for our team and in her classroom. As the 5th grade team leader she makes sure our team is always prepared and informed on the things going on around the building. Mrs. Williams is also a great leader in her classroom. She has made sure to go above and beyond to form unforgettable relationships with her students. She has made connections with all of them to help make them all feel welcome in her classroom. Mrs. Williams has also taken on a great leadership role with our new reading and writing program. She has spent countless hours combing through the material to find ways that will best help our students learn and master the lessons we are teaching. She makes engaging lessons and slides to go along with the material. Thank you for being a great leader in our school and to your students. We are so lucky to have you!"

This afternoon we celebrated our K - 2 students! We recognized our Braves of the Month, Academic Tags, bus riders, and ended the celebration with a game of Stuff the Turkey! We are so proud of each and every one of you and your dedication to being a BRAVE!

Today we celebrated our November Pow -Wows. First up this morning was our 3rd-5th grades' celebration! We recognized our Braves of the Month for Gratitude, Academic tags in the area of Social Studies, STLP, and our Boys and Girls basketball teams. We finished our celebration with a staff vs boys/girls basketball game. Both games were close, but the girls and boys basketball teams came out on top!!

Congratulations to our STLP team! Project Found and Cafe Crowd Control presented their ideas to judges on Wednesday and BOTH teams are moving on to the State competition in Lexington coming up this April. We are so proud of all of their accomplishments and hard work they have put into their projects this season so far.

These 3 friends - Havyn, Cole and Kira were "caught" doing the right thing as they were leaving the Pow-wow! They each got the chance to choose a book from the book vending machine. They can cuddle up and read on these cold days!

#Monochrome - work as a team, play as a team!
